The combination of three companies:Ericsson,EndeMol and Triple IT,have created a solution for brining video from the mobile phone to the television set. Together they will create a service, targeted at broadcasting companies,to allow live video from mobile phones to be brought to television studios for broadcasting over the TV network.

MeOnTV Version 1.0 enables broadcasters to receive footage shot with mobile telephones.
In its basic form, the MeOnTV service opens a telephone-number for each customer. This phone-number is a regular phone-number on the Dutch public network. In later versions of MeOnTV,it will be possible to use a 0800/0900 number or an international number.
A maximum of 6 mobile phones can call the public number simultaneously.
Mobile phone users can set up a video-call to this number and all footage shot with the telephone will be stored on the MeOnTV platform.
The mobile phone user than gets the option to categorize the footage he has just shot (using a video-based IVR menu system).
The service can be extended with an optional component (the “Live SDI Box”). This component can convert incoming footage (real-time) to SDI for broadcasting purposes (live transmissions).
MeOnTV gives the broadcaster editorial staff the tools required to manage this solution,it contains tools for monitoring incoming video footage, routing footage to the optional SDI converter, rating pre-recorded footage and exported pre-recorded footage.
MeOnTV intends to be a complete solution for broadcasters to integrate mobile phone generated footage into their broadcasting solutions.
